[2.2rc1] 100% CPU usage

Thu Jun 28, 2007 1:38 pm
Hi guys,
there is something wrong with ktorrent 2.2rc1 and 2.1.x as well. When I leave ktorrent hidden in a tray bar after few hours of downloading during the night my comp is not responding and cpu is 100%. But yesterday I left ktorrent window visible and in the morning cpu usage was fine (~20%). I checked my log file but there was only something related to acpid. Do you know how to solve it?

Are you sure it was KT who was causing the CPU usage ?

KT 2.2.1

Tue Aug 07, 2007 6:28 pm
It still happens. It looks like it doesn't matter if KT is hidden in tray or not. It happens when I leave my laptop for more then 30min. CPU goes first from ~20% to ~70% and then ~100%. amarok can play the music, superkaramba can refresh applets, but my laptop is locked. I have to kill X to use my system again. It only happens with KT, never with other app.

Just say what you need(logs, confs, etc.) and I paste it here

Thanks

What if you do not use any download or upload limits ?

I have 6Mb/s broadband and I have 20KB/s upload limit so it's enough.

Yesterday I tried to run KT without superkaramba and it was fine. So maybe this is the cause?

I don't see a way for superkaramba to interfere with ktorrent.
