Problem with ktorrent plugins

Fri Jun 29, 2007 10:36 am
First of all i would like to give many thanks for the ktorrent developers, its a nice piece of software.

My problem is the following:
-i want to compile ktorrent to my home directory(it compiles and works fine) but it cannot find the plugins(the plugins box is empty).

If i install it system-wide it should find them but i need ktorrent *only* in my home directory, what can i do?

ps:Im currently using slackware 11.0 and a 2.6.16.52 kernel.

thanks,chaos

You need to add the path to the KDEDIRS environment variable.

I assume you did ./configure --prefix=/home/user/whatever

Then you would need to do

export KDEDIRS=/home/user/whatever:$KDEDIRS

After that run kbuildsycoca and restart ktorrent
