ktorrent always shows that I have downladed more data than the actual file size. Example: for a file 686 MB, I've downladed 727.3 MB. Is this normal, or i'm downloading corrupted chunks, so ktorrent redownloads them?

Yes, overdownloading can happen (various reasons, not just corrupted chunks), however recent KT versions will normally not show this.
