Move finished downloads

Wed Aug 08, 2007 10:29 pm
Hi,

I have searched the forum but not found an answer I have been able to comprehend so I'm asking in a new post and hoping someone can dumb it down for me :)

What I am looking for is the ability to download to one folder, and once it's done, have it transferred seamlessly to another folder. The reason for this is that I want to set up one disk specifically for download, to keep read request to a minimum. And then have the complete item seeded from another disk once finished.

What I've tried so far always give me folders and files on both disks. I can't seem to make any logical sense of the "folder for temporary files" and "save downloads to" options. At least not int he way I'm looking for.

I've found one comment that there is a patch for this that might be included in future releases. That's good, but I'm impatient ;)

The second comment I've seen is that it's in ktorrent-svn? What is this? How do I go about setting this up?

An unrelated question: How come I get a download rate roughly 10 times higher in kTorrent than in Azuerus? (no, not the bit/byte confusion)

Such functionality has been added in 2.2.

Thank you lucke!

The mistake was on me. The 2.2 version wasn't in any of the Mandriva repositories I used but I simply assumed that was the version I had already.

I found a repository with the 2.2.1 version and it's just what I was looking for! Sorry to bother yo with such a simple problem, I must be going blind!
