I just started downloading two torrents yesterday. I shut down the computer, and then start the PC and Ktorrent again, right now. The torrents include weird characters, and this causes Ktorrent to start redownloading.
OK, I need to solve this... So: - I shut down Ktorrent - I copy the "new" name of the torrent: "Song 1" and "-2", and deletes those dirs. - I use Nautilus to make links to my old download locations, I name these with the "new names" - I restart Ktorrent. A minute in, I'm told there are corrupetd chunks, and I run integrity check. After the check is done, I'm now back to my old downloads. It appears now to be solved, but Ktorrent should be able to handle this intuitively and easily. At least make me say: "these are my downloaded files, use this dir. I don't care the names don't match" - Ketil

I'm not following here, KT should handle weird characters just fine. What exactly happened when you restarted KT ? |
