Hi!

I'm trying to get plugins working with the current svn version of ktorrent. I get the following error:

kio (KTrader): WARNING: KServiceTypeTrader: serviceType KTorrent/Plugin not found


By default the plugins are installed under /usr/local/lib/kde4/. How do I get ktorrent (or KTrader) to find the plugins installed?

Not-so-good solutions, like symlinks are fine too.

Well you normally only have to set the KDEDIR environment variable to /usr/local/lib/kde4/

And then it should find them when you restart KT, you may need to run kbuildsycoca4
