I have two computers where i have installed opensuse 10.2. I also installed ktorrent 2.2.2.

I have opened my port (55952, and i use DHT port 6881) in the router settings and in the local firewall settings, but i do not get incoming connection with my second computer. I have the exactly same settings on both computers but the first works thes second doesnt.
The only difference is, that the first computer is connected to the router via wireless conection, while the second computer is connected via cable. DHT works fine, but i get no incoming connections.

i have no idea what to do now. please help me. if you need further informations or screenshots, please let me know. THX

Have you used different ports on each computer?

thanks for your answer, ihave solved the problem. i have just restarted the router and i works great afterwards.

I have another question concering the hardware system requirements. i have installed ktorrent on a machine with only 512mb ram and a harddisc rotating at 4200rpms. is it possible that the hardisk is too slow. ihave always nearly 500mbyte ram used on the machine. and this makes thes system slow. ktorrent takes somtimes 100 to 150 megabytes. is my computer to slow for kde 3.5 with installed ktorrent. or what do i have to do to make it a little bit faster or do i need more ram or a new harddisk.

I wouldn't know about the hardware specs, sorry.

I highly doubt you could max out your hard disk with an average internet connection.
