Pause downloads

Sun Sep 23, 2007 10:53 pm
I have been an Azureus and uTorrent user till now. Now, Bitsoup, Blackcats and other major sites support kTorrent, so I will use it from now on.

It runs great and I have no problems, except a feature that I am missing. I can't pause downloads. In Azureus or uTorrent, you could right click on the program icon in the panel and then choose Pause Downloads (in uTorrent) or Stop Downloads (in Azureus). When I want to resume them, I simply click Continue, and it will resume those downloads that were paused.

In KTorrent, it is not like that, I can press Stop All, but when I press Start All, it will literally "Start All". And any settings I have made in the Queue Manager will be lost. Moreover, the currently running items will be stopped, but the queued items in the Queue Manager will start automatically!!! So I have to press Stop All till everything just stops.

Can anyone help me with this? There is a simple, actually very simple, solution, and that's to open a single torrent file at a time, but that's just not acceptable. I like to have a queue so that things will go on when I am not there.

Thanks for the reply.

But does this mean that it's not in the current version? Isn't there anything I can do to work this around?
