Scanfolder plugin problem

Fri Oct 05, 2007 6:57 pm
Hi,

I'm running ktorrent on an ubuntu linux machine , it's the 2.2.1 version (from the backports repository in Ubuntu)

Ktorrent is running fine on this version (with the other one I had an issue that it would just close itself without errormessages) but :

I wanted to take use of the scanfolder plugin.
I have another ubuntu machine on the same LAN that's running proftpd.
I log in from remote on this one , upload some torrents via FTP to a folder.

This folder is shared thru NFS and connected on the machine running ktorrent to /media/torrent.
The scanfolder plugin is set to check in /media/torrent but it doesn't check while ktorrent is running.
If I close and reopen it , it takes all.
It does the same when I switch off the scanfolder and switch it on again.

Am I doing something wrong or is this the normal behaviour ?

Thanks for reading this :-)

I never tried this with an NFS share, I will have to investigate this.
