I run ubuntu and have for a long time. Each time I install ktorrent I have this same problem, and its not ktorrents fault.

For anyone having problems with the ipfilter not converting make sure you have the following installed.

kdebase-kio-plugins for ubuntu 7.10 but i've seen it called kio-slaves before.

I know this is needed if you run gnome and just install ktorrent to use. This should be made a dep for ktorrent with ubuntu and maybe any other gnome based distro
