DHT

Sat Oct 20, 2007 6:04 pm
Hi,
how do you know if DHT is active ?
Is the green checkbox next a node a clue that DHT is working ?
Do I have to open the port mentioned in the preferences as an incoming port in my router ?
Thank you
Giacomo

In the bottom of gui it says DHT: off or DHT xx nodes....

No this says the other peer supports DHT.(has DHT enabled)

Do I have to open the port mentioned in the preferences as an incoming port in my router ?

No, but it is wisely if you want to support the quality of the DHT network.

I would be best to open the port, but if your router supports UPnP and you have the UPnP plugin loaded in KT, it will done automatically by KT.
