Hi all,

I'm a noob so please bear with me.. I just upgraded to Ubuntu 7.10 and at first Ktorrent worked normally, i.e. downloaded/uploaded. However, the next time I started it after a restart, it wouldn't open up at all. In System Monitor, I can see it "sleeping", but that's it. I tried Removing it and Adding it back to no avail.

Please, any help will be much appreciated! I've tried many other torrent apps and Ktorrent remains my favorite.

No. I tried Ktorrent in another account and it works. Can I "completely delete" ktorrent? Add/Remove doesn't seem to do the trick.

Just delete the config : rm ~/.kde/share/config/ktorrentrc

Make sure KT isn't running when you are doing this.
Then restart KT.

I've tried that but when I go to start it, the icon doesn't appear and the CPU usage shoots up to 100% for one processor. I've deleted and deleted and deleted the config file but once I close ktorrent and re-open it the problems occur and I have to kill the process, delete the config file, open and re-add my torrents.

This started to happen a couple days ago and I'm just about ready to reinstall ubuntu if this keeps up.

Please help.
