I've tried this with a few files/folders. I create a torrent and it gets as far as the progress dialog box, zooms up to 98%, then it hangs. Have to kill the process. When I restart there's all sorts of mess and I have to delete the tor# folders to clean up.
I had a problem before where when I tried to create a torrent it would fail at 98% saying the torrent file was corrupt or missing and could not be loaded. Now it hangs. I'm on Ubuntu 7.04 with KTorrent 2.1 from the repos. The only weird thing I can think of is that I'm saving/loading to an NTFS drive using ntfs3g. That hasn't been a problem for downloading though, I've had it setup like this for months. Anyone experience this or have any suggestions? Thanks... |

It's worth noting that if I load/save to the non NTFS area of the filesystem I get the same problem.

Did a dist-upgrade in Ubuntu from 7.04 to 7.10. That brought KTorrent up to 2.2.1 and it fixed up my problem.
Mind you, the upgrade broke my sound card and my SMB configuration, but that's an entirely different issue. ![]() |
