as you can see, the bottom of the preferences window goes off screen. (no scrollbar)

is there any way to make it fit the screen like the main window does?

thanks

Hi George,

800x600 is the highest resolution available in "system settings"

800x600 that's not very big, we could split up general and advanced because they are probably the biggest culprits here.

Problem solved.....ah, it all looks much better! :D

all i had to do was edit my xorg.conf adding the "HorizSync" & "VertRefresh" lines

Code: Select all
Section "Monitor"
   Identifier   "Generic Monitor"
   Option      "DPMS"
   HorizSync 28-72
   VertRefresh 43-60
EndSection

I already had the "mode" set

Code: Select all
Section "Screen"
   Identifier   "Default Screen"
   Device      "Generic Video Card"
   Monitor      "Generic Monitor"
   DefaultDepth   24
   SubSection "Display"
      Modes      "1280x800"
   EndSubSection
EndSection

Hopefully this post will help anybody else that suffers from this problem.

Thanks
