Hi I just searched and got my first download but there is a lot I do not understand about this type of application. What is seeding? What is leaching? If I want to minimise uploads how do I do it because I have a very small internet usage allowance by my isp. I wish I could turn that off but i read by googling that I can't. Also my first download was really ****. I downloaded an Album(audio) and all the songs sound terrible. There was a video in the collection too and the sound was very bad. I search high and low in google for some simple howto and couldn't find one. Thanks!!!

Uploading data from torrent you already downloaded. Downloading some data and closing client when it's done. Very bad behaviour because idea of torrent (and p2p generally) is to help making some data available. Don't do that! Re-read the idea of p2p/torrent. If everyong would only leech, who would you download from?! Complain to artist who published that. Maybe there was some purpose in that? To show you their music in low quality to make you buy original CD/DVD? I can only guess about that torrent. |

Ah well then I will forget about using Ktorrent. I understand what your saying but I have a strict 2gig usage limit and then they chop me down to dialup speed for the rest of the month if I go over that. Also the speed of the net generally in Australia is half of what the rest of the world gets because we are a backwards country. We did recently get rid of the backward **** that was out Prime Minister so hope fully the new one will take our country out of the dark ages. many businesses have complained about this for years.
Gee that track was more than low quality...it was no quality.....he he. Audio production is my field. Thanks RA |
