Missing some torrent display lines

Tue Feb 05, 2008 11:07 pm
Hi and thanks!

Some of my torrents are missing from the display almost all the time. I can briefly see them flash by when I switch the display controls "Inactive downloads", "Inactive uploads", and "User downloads". They vanish too fast to do anything. If I try to start the torrents again through "File>Open" Ktorrent complains they are already open, and the torrent has been merged. Their files are in the downloading area. Their space is preallocated. Though these torrents have been running a long time none of them has finished (probably not started). When I try to search for them with Cntrl-F the cursor moves to the "Inactive Torrents" in the sidebar. All torrents tab shows "All Torrents 48/56".

Is it a Ktorrent feature not to display all the torrents?
How do I control it?

Is there a manual available or in progress?

Thanks again,
ant

Go to the groups tab on the left and click on all torrents, that will show all torrents in the current tab.

OK, thanks; and looking at it more carefully the numbers add up and make sense if I stick to one tab, or ignore the minor display pauses and errors when switching tabs. But why do I have two tabs?? Did I somehow start a separate jobs in each tab? How? Or why do I have two torrent tabs with different torrents in each?

You can have as many as you want, by default KT starts with an uploads and downloads tab. But if you only want one showing all torrents, you can just close one tab and show all the torrents in the other one.

That great. How do I remove one and how do I add a new one?

Is there a manual (in progress?) for Ktorrent?

Thank you.

There is an add tab (left corner) and a remove tab button (right corner) on the tabbar, alternatively you can just right click on a group and select open tab, and then a new tab will be opened with that group.
