Web Interface HTTP 500 Error

Tue Feb 26, 2008 7:38 am
Not sure whether this should go in Development or help, so here goes.
I've been developing my own Web Interface Skin, designed for the iPhone/iPod Touch. A strange thing happens. I have the login page done, but any call to interface.php, whether through the login page or directly by typing it into the address bar, fail with the following:
Code: Select all
HTTP/1.1 Internal Server Error
Failed to launch PHP executable !

All the log file shows is
Code: Select all
Mon Feb 25 21:24:20 2008: connection from 127.0.0.1:40234
Mon Feb 25 21:24:27 2008: Webgui login succesfull !

I'm really confused, as this happens even when I copy the default interface,php file to my skins directory. This does not happen when using the default skin. The little green light is on next the box for the PHP executable (/usr/bin/php)
I have the skin on my server, if anyone is interested.

In the beginning of interface.php, you need to insert this :

<?php

?>

KT will look for the <?php and insert the data about all the torrents after it

Thanks a bunch, it works now! :D I'll post the thing somewhere else in the forum when I'm done with it, as I'm (pretty) sure that other people would benefit from an iPhone/iPod Touch optimized skin for KTorrent
