Im using Ktorrent 2.2.1 with KDE 3.5.8 on Ubuntu 7.10, everything is great so far, I can also access the Web GUI on localhost, but I wonder how to make the Web GUI work remotely (e.g. from my freehosting domain), because it may prove handy one day maybe... A lot of people miss a guide on this I think. I am a Linux, php and html noob by the way

All you need to know is the public IP of the computer running KT, if you are behind a router you will need to forward the port you are listening on. (If the UPnP plugin is loaded, this can be done automatically, just enable the forward port checkbox)
If your IP address is dynamic or you don't want to remember it, you could use dyndns, so that you can use a hostname. |
