No you dont need to remove previous versions. but if you had the distro release installed, then I recommend you do... but if you build from source each time you do not need to. |

not to ask stupid questions but you do have KDE4 installed, yes??
Oh and you need the KDE-libs-devel and a few other packages... I forgot which, But I posted them somewhere on the forums ![]() |

I'm willing to bet that if you use the steps in my post here it should work fine for you.
It appears that the only difference is that you are using KDE so it shouldn't be an issue. EDIT: Steps 7-8 in my post should fix the first error at least, if not both. |
