can't seem to upload very much

Thu Mar 27, 2008 1:16 am
i recently switched from utorrent on windows. i'm currently seeding from a mounted windows partition, but i don't see a fraction of the upload speed i used to. in utorrent, i had a steady upstream of 150kbps and now i have next to zero. any suggestions?

p.s. ktorrent is showing that everyone i am connected to as "choked" and some people it just won't connect to. i'm using the same port i did for utorrent so i'm sure it is forwarded correctly and i have disabled my firewall, so i doubt that is the problem either.

Try setting the number of upload slots a little higher, preferrable like 8-10KB/s per upload slot.

on utorrent, i've been able to give 150kbs on a slot. i aways kept my settings at unlimited b/c i only use private trackers and there usually aren't that many peers.

so i've noticed that on very active torrents, i upload like crazy, but on torrents where i'm the only seeder and there is only one leecher, i don't even connect, and if i do, they get choked/snubbed. is this some sort of device to make sure leechers are sharing and if it is, how do i turn it off?
