Install KTorrent 3.0.1 w/o CMAKE?

In the future, will there be a way to compile the latest versions of KTorrent without the cmake program? Will it ever be possible to install the latest version of KTorrent with a simple:

./configure
make
sudo make install

- The official build system of KDE is cmake
- cmake is better then automake
- automake sucks

Will future releases of KTorrent then support the following instead of calling many flags from cmake?

./configure
cmake
sudo cmake install
