Hello all,
I'm running OpenSuse 10.3 with KDE 3.5 and Ktorrent 2.2.5 on my laptop. But there is no upload at all, even there are enough leechers. Downloading is no problem, there I get decent speeds. For a short while the upload goes up to like 50 kb/s and goes down to zero again. The SuSE Firewall is turned off and the ports are opened on my router. I chose a port between 50000 and 60000 and opened it for TCP as well as UDP. Although the SuSE-Firewall ist rurned off, the iptables module is loaded. When doing a "iptables -L", I get the following entries:
So if I'm not wrong, this tells me, that there aren't any rules loaded and the traffic shouldn't be blocked. I'm really desperate, no matter what I do, nothing works. Hope someone can help. Best, Stevie |

I have the same problem. I am running ktorrent 2.2.4 under KDE 3.5 (gentoo). I can't upload, even if there are leechers. Look at my ratings (second column from the righthand side). I hate that 0.00! I have a fast connection, downloading works fine but uploading is a mess (as you can see). Ports are being forwarded through a router. KTorrent somehow seems to be picky about the upload. For 2 torrents it worked okay while I was downloading but the others just don't get any connections at all.
What am I doing wrong? ![]() |

In that screenshot, you see 2 peers who are probably not interested (-50 score), and 2 who are, who are allowed to upload, but don't send any requests. If they don't send any requests for data, we can't upload anything. My guess is that these peers are probably superseeders. |
