Hi, I'm running ubuntu hardy (8.04), I'm using the ktorrent from their repositories which is 2.2.5.
KTorrent is ignoring the upload slot limitation I've set. I've tried moving my torrents around between queue managed and user managed. This doesn't affect how it doesn't follow the rule ![]() I've got 20KB/s up (limit set in KTorrent) and by limiting KTorrent's upload slots i was hoping on providing each client 10KB/s, but with the upload slot limitation being ignored this pushes out to 3-6 clients which causes them to get bugger all speed. Any ideas? (No, I cannot just allocate more upload speed. 20KB/s is the highest i can push it without other people being noticeably negatively affected) I can rebuild KTorrent from source with extra patches or move to KTorrent 3.0.1 if nessesary. |

I dare hope not, that would be horribly inconsistent user interface design... you've got your global speed on that same window. then you've got another speed limiter which can be activated per torrent when right clicking on them...
if that's the case then maybe the slot limiters need to be made consistent with the speed limiters, or a radio button next to the slot limiter stating per torrent or globally. |

Could you at least make that obvious in the GUI?
I can't see how giving people radio buttons in the GUI to pick between Global & Per Torrent is a bad thing. Some people need that type of control so they can maintain some Quality Upload speed to Leechers. Better to upload to 2 @ 10KB/s than 6 @ 3.3~KB/s. |
