I know already what seeders and leechers are, but the program shows two numbers for each, one in parentheses. And no one who can tell me, what that means.

The first one is how many you are connected to, the one between parenthesis is how many there are in the swarm (according to the tracker)

there is nothing formal yet, although there are some people working on one now I think.
