ktorrent opensuse

Mon Jul 14, 2008 6:58 pm
Is opensuse still packing ktorrent with DHT off?
I installed opensuse 11 and dont seem to be able to find anything to enable DHT and DHT is shown as "off"
Ip filter plugin is not working as well.
All the above work perfectly on my other kubuntu machine.
Using ktorrent 3.1.1

Yes, they disable DHT at compile time.

The stuff to configure DHT is hidden when you do this.

Another bug report then. But not that gentle this time.
Really dont u feel a bit weird that when they just cripple this neat torrent client.I know its open source and GPL gives the right to do that. But GPL licence is suppossed to help comnunity to make something better not worse!!!!

Quite frankly I don't care, I'm not going to be bothered by their stupid (probably lawyer driven) decisions.
