Ktorrent As Default

Thu Jul 17, 2008 12:46 pm
I have tried on few occoasiaons to make Kttorent the default bittornt client, but never have succeeded, so I always invariable had to delete the other ones present.
Is there any way to make Kttorent the default while there other torrent clients as well?

Should be as easy as configure konqueror> file associations> filter on torrent> and put KTorrent as top listed.

Thanks for the tip, unfortunately I don't use Konqueror , I use Mozilla, there should be a proper way to it, no via the internet browser , has to be done from installation!
Perhaps the George can come up with the goods.

You can also set the setting in the KDE Controll Center/System Settings. It's not related to Konqueror, but a desktop setting. If Mozilla do not follow your desktopwide preferences, it's a bug in Mozilla(Well known, as Mozilla/Firefox do not intergrate well). You have to configure it in Mozilla, until they fix their bugs.

What do you mean by torrent file? there are too many torrent files, which one?
If you know the procedure, it will be appreciated if you could give a coherent procedure in plain language, so that other users can benefit from the method.
