Cannot talk to klauncher

Wed Aug 13, 2008 1:24 am
Hi, I'm running ktorrent 2.2.7 on Mac OS X. It was a pain in the **** to get working, but now I finally have the GUI and everything except for the ability to open files/interact with the system. It keeps throwing up the error "Cannot talk to klauncher".

The only way I can get Ktorrent to open is to run dcopserver first, then ktorrent. If I try kdeinit, I get an error about "bind() failed: : Address already in use" and "Could not bind to socket '/private/var/folders/RQ/RQDuDhwEGUWM8alVOYCo9++++TI/-Tmp-/ksocket-username/kdeinit_/tmp/launch-esRqSm/_0'".

Any ideas about how to fix this?

Don't know, I'm not really familiar with all the kde stuff which needs to run, and how to make sure it gets started.

Normally though everything need should be started up, when you startup any KDE app.
