I just want to be clear about ktorrent versions since I'm just starting to get into "torrents".
Is it true that I cannot compile 3.x for KDE 3.5x, and that I have to use a version 2.2.x of ktorrent with that version of KDE? Also, it seems like version 2.2.x has no "import torrent" feature. Did it just not compile for me, or is that option only available in Ver. 3.x? Kurt |

Well, personally i haven't been able to compile KTorrent 3.1.2 with kde3, but sidux(an debian sid based linux distribution) comes with the kde4 version of KTorrent while the desktop is still KDE3. So it is possible in some way, i only do not know how.
No, you have to enable the import plugin first for it to come up in the menu listing. But you can always just drop the save location on the already downloaded data and it will re-hash for you too. |

Correct. The versions are incompatible. As stoeptegel said, you can load the KDE4 libraries while running a KDE3 desktop, and so run KTorrent 3 while using KDE3, but you can't compile against KDE3 or run it without KDE4 libraries. |
