Compiling under Ubuntu

Sat Oct 04, 2008 5:33 am
I'm new to Linux, and I'm wondering what do do for this line:

Code: Select all
cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/path/to/prefix/of/kde4/installation

After asking around, it seems like the path should be DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr/local , but this simply generates the error message:

Code: Select all
CMake Error: The source directory "/home/*****/Desktop/ktorrent-3.1.3/build" does not appear to contain CMakeLists.txt.

Thanks for the help; I know that this is a rather simple error, but I have no idea of what's causing it.

Don't forget ..

cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr/lib/kde4 ..

Btw, Ubuntu uses /usr/lib/kde4
