Can't upload

Tue Oct 14, 2008 10:16 pm
I'm completely new at this and could use some help, please. I am using ktorrent 2.2.7 to download a file. It's been downloading for almost an hour and a half but it still shows 0B uploaded, up speed is blank, and share ratio is 0:00. Isn't it supposed to upload the parts I've already downloaded?

I enabled the UPnP plugin, since I do use a router. I forwarded the ports and I can see that on my router page. My software firewall is turned off. What else do I need to do?

I left it on overnight and now it says seeding and does show some uploaded. It still doesn't show anything under upload speed, though. So maybe it just has to complete the download before it starts seeding?

There has to been somebody you can upload to, some torrents have lots of seeders and very few leechers.

It showed 4 leechers pretty much the whole time, ( and only 1 seeder) but maybe I don't understand how that works. I'm downloading another file now and there have been 3 or 4 leechers the whole time but I've had no uploading at all on it. I guess it will do like the other and upload once I've got the whole file. Thank you for replying, though.
