3.1.2 is already old, i would advise you to upgrade to 3.1.4 by enabling the backports of your distribution, or alternatively compile it from source.

You need a terminal-like console to put this commands in. On KDE this is konsole or yakuake. Just see where it strands, you need a lot more packages to install before it will compile.

You need a terminal-like console to put this commands in. On KDE this is konsole or yakuake. Just see where it strands, you need a lot more packages to install before it will compile.

You need these packages:
build essentials
xlibs-dev
kdelibs4
kdelibs4-dev
libqt4-headers
libqt4-mt-dev

And some more, but try this first out. You can install these packages by giving this command in a terminal if you have a debian based distro:
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install build essentials xlibs-dev kdelibs4 libqt4-headers libqt4-mt-dev kdesdk-kde4 kdelibs5-dev libqca2-dev libgmp3-dev subversion cmake automoc
