I have a big linux system and I'd like to have several parallel instances of ktorrent running so that each user can use his own ktorrent in his private space.
How can I do such a thing ?

Why do you think, you need to do something special for this ?

oki...that looks easy if read your reply right.

So what should I do ? I have a system that is accessible through vnc and I am working now on running several vnc servers in parallel (one per user) so that each user has its own gnome desktop remotely accessible.
Once this is done what is the next step ?

Just run ktorrent in each session. You don't need to do anything else.
