I have got big problems with KTorrent since version 3. In short some facts:

• I am sitting behind a Router with NAT
• KTorrent 2.2.7 works fine
• KGet 2.1.3 with standard configuration works fine with torrents
• the UPnP module of KTorrent 3.1.5 detects the "WAN device" and says that ports 6881 (UDP) and 6889 (TCP) are being forwarded
• KTorrent 3.1.5 successfully connects to a long list of seeders
• VHT and protocol encryption are enabled, encryption is not enforced
• upload/download rates are set to recommended values (based on the available bandwith which is about 6000 kbit/s down and 600 kbit/s up)
• about once an hour KTorrent 3.1.5 crashes
• KTorrent 3.1.5 refuses to download a single byte of real data

Maybe someone has an idea what is going wrong?

Have you got a backtrace of those crashes ?
Can ktorrent contact the tracker ?
What do you see in the logging output (use the logviewer plugin) ?

No.

Yes, tracker state is OK and I receive a long list of seeders and a list of leechers instantly (with as well as without VHT).

but the problem is not specific to this torrent. It happens with every torrent I try.

I can reproduce the problem with that torrent, I think it has something to do with webseeds interfering.

Yes, if I disable the webseeds in the code, downloading starts without problems. So it seems there is a problem there.

Wow. I tried about 20 different torrents from different sources. They all showed the same problem. Does that mean I had the bad luck to choose only torrents with just this problem?

Same here. Ktorrent 3.2_rc1. Other clients work.

I have the same problem.

I use slackware 12.1 and KDE 3.5.9
Ktorrent was working fine, but then it stoped downloading; I can upload without any problem, but can't download any torrent; and this happened from one moment to another, without any configuration change.

As I saw that there was a new version, the 2.2.8, I installed it, but nothing changed. I get of authentication failure at logs also.

I am now using ktorrent to upload, but opera to download torrents; I hope I can have ktorrrent working again soon, with yourhelp.
