3.1.5 - Make Error 2 on Ubuntu 7.10

Wed Nov 26, 2008 5:26 pm
I am trying to compile 3.1.5 on Ubuntu 7.10.

I am receving the following when I do make

[ 70%] Building CXX object plugins/bwscheduler/CMakeFiles/ktbwschedulerplugin.dir/schedulegraphicsitem.o
/shared/ktorrent-3.1.5/plugins/bwscheduler/schedulegraphicsitem.cpp: In constructor âkt::ScheduleGraphicsItem::ScheduleGraphicsItem(kt::ScheduleItem*, const QRectF&, const QRectF&, kt::WeekScene*)â:
/shared/ktorrent-3.1.5/plugins/bwscheduler/schedulegraphicsitem.cpp:44: error: âsetAcceptHoverEventsâ was not declared in this scope
/shared/ktorrent-3.1.5/plugins/bwscheduler/schedulegraphicsitem.cpp: At global scope:
/shared/ktorrent-3.1.5/plugins/bwscheduler/schedulegraphicsitem.cpp:243: warning: unused parameter âeventâ
make[2]: *** [plugins/bwscheduler/CMakeFiles/ktbwschedulerplugin.dir/schedulegraphicsitem.o] Error 1
make[1]: *** [plugins/bwscheduler/CMakeFiles/ktbwschedulerplugin.dir/all] Error 2
make: *** [all] Error 2

Having searched the forum I found that I may need qt4. I checked my os and found qmake
/usr/bin/qmake-qt4 -v
QMake version 2.01a
Using Qt version 4.3.2 in /usr/lib

I can see where I can upgrade qt to 4.4.
Can anyone help?

grab QT4.4 from your Distro's repo, might find it in a newer dist release if its not packaged for your current,

On Fedora 9 I had to grab it from the F10 development repo

You probably need to upgrade to 8.10 for Qt 4.4.
