newb: ktorrent no incoming connections.

so, i'm trying to switch over to nix for my fileservers and an important part of that is torrents. so i installed ktorrent fine, loaded it up, checked what ports it used, forwarded those ports in my router. downloaded a couple of torrents for a test-run, and i got no incoming connections, no data coming through whatsoever 0kb/s. I'm pretty sure I don't have a firewall installed on this gentoo box, but hmm.. nothin is goin nowhere :(

heres a screen to show i've set stuff up right.. and also not shown here but the DHCP client log shows this pc is definately 10.1.1.3

nevermind. i figured out what was wrong. the tracker that i download from doesnt support ktorrent client. but i just couldn't find where the error messages for the tracker are in ktorrent.. can someone point out to me where they are so that next time i dont spend half a day trying to figure out why i cant connect to peers..

The tracker respons can be find on the trackers tab after status.

The tracker respons can be find on the trackers tab after status.


what tracker tab are you referring to? mine goes tracker, downloaded...

do you mean where it says "stalled" cas that's not really that informative :p

man, linux makes me feel inadequate.. :(
