Hey guys!
I'm getting speeds that fluctuate wildly between 10 KB/s 200 KB/s. I've even had speeds go up to 600 KB/s before. I've used speedtest to correctly set my download and upload max speeds, i've got DHT set, I've got UPnP on (I'm behind a router), I've opened a port higher than 50000, and I dunno what else to do. I'm running KTorrent 3.1.2 behind Ubuntu Intrepid, and I'm too noobish to compile KTorrent 3.1.6 by myself. Anybody able to help out? |

if youv done all that and your ported right your probebly good It's not clear just what you mean by (fluctuate wildly) if you mean that say 1 downloading torrent with 20 or more seed's will in a mater of seconds role up and down constentley from 0 to 600 Kb/s to 0 then mabey thars a problem.
if on the other hand if you mean that 1 torrent with 20 seed's is coming in at an avrege of 500Kb/s and anuther torrent with 10 seed's is coming in at an average of 50Kb/s well that's normal ! the speed will varey depending on lots of thing's not to mention how meney seed's and leaches and how good thare conetions are.......even a good torrent will sort of role up and down speed wise that's why DL speed is read as an AVREG on the status tab ![]() VINNY |

well, by fluctuating wildly, I mean fluctuate at all. With uTorrent, speeds will stay stable for the entire download period
I have two downloads with 4 seeds on one that has dropped in speed to to 5 KB/s and risen to speeds of 200 KB/s over the space of 5 minutes The other download has 2 seeds and fluctuates down to 5 KB/s and up to 150 KB/s over the same time period. Again, this doesn't happen in uTorrent! |
