Hey there,
I'm trying to create an RSS feed on ktorrent to auto start a few torrents, but I can't get it to add the files. I get a "failed to find and download a valid torrent" warning. I can see the RSS feed links, but I can't download them. I have my URL set like this:http://www.torrentbytes.net/rss.php?passkey=XXXX&username=XXXX&direct:COOKIE:uid=XXXXX;pass=XXXXXXXXXXXX. How am I suposed to authenticate myself in ktorrent? I'm pretty sure that this is an authentication issue, because I tried mininova a few minutes ago and it worked just fine. Thanks ![]() |

Unless you have turned of cookies in konqueror, it should work. What if you first login into the site (with konqueror) and then try the feed in KT ? However it could be that the feed itself does not directly link to the torrents, in which case ktorrent will try it's best to find the torrent links, but it is possible it can't find the torrent. |

I don't use konqueror, but I'll try that (I think cookies are enabled though). Can you register at TB and check to see if you have the same problem? EDIT:I tried using konqueror to log in (it's accepting cookies) and it still can't find the torrent. I forgot to mention. I'm using KDE 3.5.10 and ktorrent 2.2.8 |

Ok, so I've finally managed to get ktorrent to download the torrent. The problem is that I have to be logged in with konqueror. Since I don't use konqueror, is there a way to create a script to log myself in? Torrentbytes logs you out every time you change your ip address. Since I have dynamic ip's this happens very often.
Thanks for the help so far ![]() |
