Hi all,

I've just installed KDE4.2.2 in my Gentoo box and started using KTorrent. Previously, I used Deluge under XFCE.

I think I've configured KTorrent correctly as I'm using the same ports I used in Deluge (so they're open in the router) and it doesn't report DHT to be disabled, but always reports zero nodes and zero tasks instead.

If I open Deluge in the very same box (got installed both), it gets DHT connections and downloads slightly faster and starts downloading almost immeadiately while KTorrents needs a minute or so. That's why I think DHT makes the difference between both... maybe it's not.

Is there any extra configuration needed for DHT to work? Does it really make the difference?

FYI: I use port 56881 in Deluge for both standard torrent port and DHT. Tried the same ports in KTorrent and also tried 56881 for standard torrent port and 56882 for DHT (both are opened in the router). Port 4444 is also opened.

Thanks in advance! :)
