Ktorrent GUI Not visible

I recently had to re-install the operating system (Ubuntu Server 8.04 LTS) and installed KDE & ktorrent. When I try to run ktorrent I can't get the GUI to show up. It's running in the background, and I can download from torrents in the background, but I can't get the GUI to show up. Is there something subtle I'm missing?

run killall ktorrent in a shell, then restart ktorrent.

Which version of ktorrent are you running ?

Anyway to fix it, do killall ktorrent (so it isn't running), edit ~/.kde/share/config/ktorrentrc, and remove all lines with hidden_on_exit in it. Then restart ktorrent, and it should work.
