Ktorrent on Satellite

Mon May 25, 2009 9:30 am
Having a problem with low download and upload speeds. Ports for 6881-6991 are available for TCP and 4444-4500 are available for UDP. the maximum I get on download is about 60 to 100 kbps on a satellite system rated for 1.5 mbps download and running about 12 to 25 bps on a system speed of 200 kbps upload. My maximum connections are less then 10, otherwise speed drops way off. I can't find very much information on what is the best settings. I am behind a NAT on satellite (HughesNet) and I don't think this is the problem. I should be able to get better speed out of this system. Can someone point me in a better direction as to possibly what Issues I may have going?

How much work is done by the satellite during one orbit of the earth?
A 500 kg satellite is orbiting earth, radius of earth is 6.38 x 10^3 km, and acceleration of gratity as the orbital altitude of 160km is the same as earth basically 9.8. How much work is done by the satellite during one orbit of the earth? Use Ek and Eg to find it. I just cant find the right answer, please help.

Well since this mathematical problem is quite above my intelligence quotient, I will have to defer to someone with a mathematics background that could perhaps, walk through the problem on paper and educate the rest of us, idiots. I don't have a clue !!! Thanks anyway....

So are you saying that I need to increase the number of connections? and to what (how many connections)?

You might make the number of connections 60 per torrent.
