evironment: ktorrent 3.2.1 / kde 4.2 on gentoo
active WM: kde 3.5

plugins are missing

running /usr/kde/4.2/bin/kbuildsycoca does not fix the issue

ktorrent is installed to /usr

export KDEDIRS=/usr

Then run kbuildsycoca again
