One of the torrent trackers I frequent recently changed names, thus invalidating all my seeds for that tracker. What is the process for updating a torrent's private tracker?
Preferably I'd like to be able to sort by tracker and change them all at once to the new domain. Is this possible? Thanks

Using ktorrent 3.2.2 in Ubuntu. KDE 4.2.85

No KTorrent respects the private trackers, it is unable for doing so. The bittorrent tracker should be able to change the announce url so anyone can keep using bittorrent. In practice you should only redownload the torrent and rehash all the data.

All other torrent clients allow to edit trackers , but ktorrent not :)
I missed this feature, because this is a pain when i need change tracker or edit user PID.
Maybe in the future you developers add this feature ?

I'm sorry, but this is **** :)

It is really a feature-bug. Yeah, you "respect" private trackers being the only one client that blocks users from changing the default tracker.

What if I have a million private torrents, and only my hashcode was changed? Other clients have easy copy-paste solution. Your doesn't.

You claim so called "respect" of private trackers, but you do not have any respect of your users.

And it's a pitty, because Ktorrent is one great BT client otherwise..

I hope it gets corrected soon..

Thanks,

As of 3.3beta1 it has been possible to add trackers to private torrents, so if the tracker URL changes you can just add the new one and disable the old. Problem solved.
