Hi,

I recently switched routers from the DLink DI-524 to the Trendnet TEW-633GR, and noticed my download speed droped significantly. The router says it supports UnUP, but when I try to forward the ports from within KTorrent, nothing happens.

According to the router logs, lots of packets are getting dropped. The most prevalent one is "Blocked incoming TCP packet from [some ip]:993 to [my ip]:63662 (though the port number is inconsistent) as FIN:ACK received but there is no active connection.

I had set the port setting in Network Preferences to port 16881, the UDP tracker port to 14444, and the DHT port to 6881. I've told my router to forward the ports to the correct machine. ShieldsUp reports 16881 is open.

I'm using the stock TrendNet firewall settings: SPI on, Address Restricted UDP/TCP filtering.

Can anyone give me some advice on how I can fix the router's firewall so I'm not experiencing slower speeds.

Thanks for any help,

What you can do is use wireshark and try to portforward with the UPnP test script to see what is going wrong. You can send a log of this to George.
