I moved all of my files from windows to a linux box.
I didn't have an issue with files that haven't finished downloading, but I had a few that were already finished and 'moved' to a directory configed as "Move completed downloads to:" in ktorrent config. When I open a torrent file, ktorrent does not seem to recognize the presence of those files, and starts to download, instead of upload (instead of sharing)

If KT can't find them, then you are selecting the wrong location

You could try to move the files to the "default save directory". When you load the torrent in ktorrent make sure it checks the data. (right click on the torrent and choose check data if it dosnt do it automaticaly)

It should find the data and check if it has it all then start seeding.

this is how i had to do it in utorrent in windows. Should be the same here. I'm guessing ktorrent will only check for data in that folder.
