Broken uploads?

Thu Nov 05, 2009 11:42 am
My seeding is very "bursty". Often, users will connect to me for ~10 seconds download maybe 500kb of data and then stop. I also notice that when KTorrent is starting up, the peer list rapidly cycles.

When I use uTorrent in Windows, the same torrent is often much faster and the seeding is much more consistent with more users connecting.

Yes, I have forwarded my TCP (51234) and UDP (4444) ports and enabled encryption.

The rapid cycling is probably due to KT dropping seeders (you don't need to be connected to seeders when seeding)

As far as I know there aren't any bugs in seeding, but I will run some tests, and see if I can reproduce this.
