downlod order plugin [Solved]

Fri Nov 06, 2009 12:14 pm
Im not sure how this plugin works. Im downloading a full season torrent. Season has 17 episodes. I set the order of the files by right click on the torrent and choose file download order. Set the first episode to come first, second episode second etc. But at the files tab i see that all episodes are downloaded and that there is no priority to the files i want to be downloaded first. The first episode is about 150mb size, ive downloaded 300mb so far and its still incomplete. Am i missing something?
Using ktorrent 3.2.5

Thnx a lot in advance

The plugin only changes the file priorities on the fly, so this is perfectly possible. If we can download from a peer, and that doesn't have a high priority chunk, KT will pick another one.

With a full season torrent, there are probably a lot of people only interested in some episodes.

I think that this is not my case, cause finally, in the files tab i unchecked all files and checked manually the files i wanted, which were downloaded fine one by one. Ill test the plugin with another torrent and ill give more feedback.

Thnx a lot for your reply

yeap the plugin works like a charm. As u described it gives priority to certain files and does not prevent other files to be download at the same time which is neat cause torrents wont be stalled in that way.

Thnx for your time and info
