Hi,
I'm trying to develop a new bittorrent client based on ktorrent. Is it possible to download the ktorrent source code onto Windows and then develop using VS2008 or VS2005 ? As I understand it ktorrent runs on Windows only through KDE. Since I'm new to KDE my question is: granted that it is possible to develop ktorrent on windows, is there a way to make it run later on Unix? |

You can generate visual studio project files with cmake and you can use any SVN client to download the code (I use tortoise SVN on windows).
Yes, you will not get far without the KDE libraries.
The only way to make your changes run on unix is to compile and test it on unix. |

Thanx
You saved me a lot of time that could have been wasted on looking for a workaround in order to develop on Windows. (Since eventually I'll have to run the changed version on Unix) |
