Hi all.
I was using 3.3 successfully using packages supplied by Fedora Linux. Upgraded to 4.0beta1, and found the IP Filter plugin gone. I cannot import an IP blockfile now because the plugin is missing, even though an icon shows up for it when the plugin icon is clicked, it's not available in the setting dialog. It's just gone, or at least is not accessible or visible. 4.0beta1 also crashes each time I close it, and doesn't seem to save settings changes. I would prefer to downgrade at this point and wait patiently for a fix. Unfortunately, the upgrade was done by compiling source, bypassing the .rpm package system, so I am not sure how to uninstall. I would like to get help on how to uninstall 4.0beta1 so that I can then use 3.3 packages from Fedora. I am an experienced Linux user, and I hope someone will respond. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. Linux 2.6.30.10-105.fc11.i686.PAE Fedora Core 11 32 bit |

Did you install the plugins in the right location, mixing plugins of different versions, usually leads to crashes.
make uninstall then reinstall the rpm |

Thanks for the help. With your suggestion I managed to fix the problem.
I recompiled using make and then did another make install, and that fixed the problem. IP Filter plugin is back for version 4.0beta1, and I can now use a blockfile. The plugin didn't get installed for some reason, probably because of my mixing versions. Thanks again. |
