My downloads work fine, but no mater what I do, my uploads just sit there. They have a tracker, and plenty of peers, but still no upload speed. I am running mint8. The firewall settings are stock, which I think means no firewall.

Try upgrading to 3.3.4, there was a bug fixed in that release which should improve seeding.

Here's what I had to do to install ktorrent-3.3.4 from source on Mint 8:

-To get cmake to work, I added "cmake_minimum_required(VERSION 2.6)" to the top of "ktorrent-3.3.4/CMakeLists.txt".
-I had to install a bunch of packages, mostly to satisfy cmake. As near as I can tell, this is my package install history:

If anyone who reads this is also trying to install from source, here's my advice: Install the -dev versions of packages when avalible. . I found "apt-file search" helpful for finding out which package missing pieces are in. To use this you need to install it and run "apt-file update". Of course all this took hours of googleing error messages. I am using Mint 8, but Ubuntu karmic should work the same.

Now I need to see if this fixed my uploading problem.

No It still isn't uploading. Same deal- lots of peers, no upload speed.
