Not seeding after 'Move Data'

Wed Sep 22, 2010 11:01 am
Hi Guys,

As per the title, i've moved the location of a lot of my torrents (new hdd), and now none of them seem to want to seed. I don't think it's a problem with torrent popularity, as there's multiple seeders for the majority of my torrents. I've tried running the 'check data' just incase Ktorrent doesn't realise that it's all there, but it comes up fine (100%) and they're still not seeding.

Is there anything that i'm maybe missing? None of the settings have been changed, i've simply just moved the data.

Thanks guys.

Hi,

Yes, all torrents are either Seeding or Downloading. I forgot to mention that torrents that are currently downloading have no problems seeding (albeit slowly). It's just the torrents that have completed downloading that won't seed.

So their status is stalled ? What version are you using ?

Nothing immediately springs to mind what could be causing this. It could just be that these torrents don't have many leechers, in which case it might take some time before they are found.

Hi George,

Just thought I should close this one out. The torrents started seeding after about 24hrs of constant running. So it appears I just needed more patience.

Thanks mate.

I have the exact same problem. The torrents are ok when downloading but when they are completed (even when there are leechers), they stop seeding. What's the point of starting seeding after 24 hours, they should start seeding right away. In my case i' ve tried Manual Announce, for an instant some leechers did appeared (1 or 2 seconds) and then disappeared. Is any thing that i can do? Now i am back on windows 7 with utorrent, i hope for a short period of time. Everytime that i am trying to get rid of windows something happens on kubuntu :( !!!!!!!!

I'm having the same problem - or what appears to be the same problem. Torrents are shown as 'seeding', not stalled, and they're shown as connecting OK to the trackers, but no peers are being listed.
